Yvette Guigueno, MBA CFRE
Following seven years as a bookstore owner and operator on Mayne Island in the Southern Gulf Islands, Yvette Guigueno started a career as a fundraiser with the Victoria Symphony in 2007 and obtained her professional certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) in 2013. Her portfolio with Royal Roads includes sponsorship and major gifts. Guigueno enjoys working with donors and sponsors to match their interests to projects in need of funding at Royal Roads. Building relationships and providing excellent service to Royal Roads’ community of supporters is her top priority.
Guigueno is currently researching her Hawaiian and First Nations heritage for a book project to be written by her husband, author Terry Glavin, and will be travelling extensively to visit historic Hudson’s Bay Forts for research. Guigueno is an active volunteer in the community working with 1-Up Single Parents Resource Center as a mentor and with the Victoria Symphony. Guigueno also plays roller derby and surfs whenever she has a chance.
